Pindar was an ancient Greek poet whose famous victory odes are still a source of inspiration today. This rare two volume set is translated from the Greek and includes a dissertation on the Olympic Games.

I use the British Library often for research, but I LOVE adopting books as gifts for people. My most recent adoption was in honor of my English professor in college. I am not just a literary scholar because of her influence--I am also a better human being.
