The British Library is a charitable organisation and as such we rely on donations to help us protect our collections, put on exhibitions and provide our services We are a charitable organisation under the 2006 Charities Act, however, as an exempt charity, we are not regulated by the Charity Commission, but instead are regulated by the British Library Board.
