Agnes Giberne was an amateur astronomer and founding member of the British Astronomical Association. Richly illustrated, Sun, Moon and Stars: Astronomy for Beginners was a popular title for many years after its publication, a perfect adoption for star-gazing bibliophiles.

I use the British Library often for research, but I LOVE adopting books as gifts for people. My most recent adoption was in honor of my English professor in college. I am not just a literary scholar because of her influence--I am also a better human being.
