Sense and Sensibility was Jane Austen's first published novel and is a story themed on balancing passion and reason as the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, come to learn when encountering potential suitors.

I use the British Library often for research, but I LOVE adopting books as gifts for people. My most recent adoption was in honor of my English professor in college. I am not just a literary scholar because of her influence--I am also a better human being.
