Beautifully illustrated with attractive covers, often by famous artists, the books featured stories by writers of the day and were especially popular as gifts. This is a 1933 edition of the Modern Boy's Annual.

I use the British Library often for research, but I LOVE adopting books as gifts for people. My most recent adoption was in honor of my English professor in college. I am not just a literary scholar because of her influence--I am also a better human being.
