American Trust for the British Library
The American Trust raises funds to support acquisitions, conservation and other important projects.
Supporters giving $100 or more enjoy an attractive package of benefits. Supporters from the US can make a tax deductible gift to the American Trust for the British Library, a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organisation.
Recent grants from the American Trust for the British Library have included:
- Funding towards the purchase of the St. Cuthbert Gospel
- Internships in the Department of Illuminated Manuscripts, the Conservation Centre and for the forthcoming Magna Carta exhibition
- Cataloging and digitisation of the King George III's Topographical Collection, the Hebrew manuscripts collection and the International Dunhuang manuscripts
